Why the glass actually matters
Here’s the thing about the hardware: we use high-purity quartz glass. Why? Because standard glass is a wall—it traps the UV energy inside the bulb. That leads to overheating and a lamp that burns out way too soon. We figure out the wattage based on how fast your line is moving. If your conveyors are flying, you need a stronger punch of energy. Otherwise, your ink won’t be dry by the time it hits the take-up reel, and you’ve got a mess on your hands.
The battle with heat
High-intensity lamps get hot. Really hot. The problem is that while the UV light cures the ink, the leftover infrared heat can shrink or warp synthetic fabrics. It’s a delicate balance. If the lamp is too close, you risk scorching the material. Too far? And the ink just doesn’t set. That’s why we spend so much time on the gap and the cooling. Whether it’s fans or chilled air blowers, you need a system that pulls the heat away so your fabric doesn’t suffer.
Making it actually work in your shop
Nobody wants to spend a weekend rewiring an entire production line. We design our lamps to be drop-in replacements. They fit the footprint you already have and plug into your existing connectors. Simple. We also obsess over power stability. If the power flickers, you get those annoying “zebra stripes”—uneven cured patches across the fabric.
